Marriage in Islam

As an act of worship

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) stated: "O young people! Whoever is able to marry should marry..." (Sahih al-Bukhari). Marriage is considered a means to fulfill half of a Muslim's faith, emphasising the completeness it brings to an individual, nurturing a wholesome life centered around faith.

Family stability

Marriage forms the basis of a stable family unit, which is considered the cornerstone of a prosperous society. Through marriage, individuals learn valuable life skills such as patience, communication, and compromise. Families, in turn, become nurturing environments where children are raised with love, discipline, and faith.

The significance of marriage

A marriage is a bind to nurture love and companionship, and contribute positively to the Ummah. By understanding and upholding the significance of marriage, Muslims honor one of the most cherished Sunnahs of the Prophet and actively contribute to the enrichment of both their personal lives and the broader Muslim society.

Testimonials

"Sister Hannah has helped me in my marriage by having a more positive perspective and to do it for the sake of Allah SWT. I learned to make myself happy in order to show up happy and to surround myself with supportive women in my life. I learnt how men and women understand respect differently and come to marriage with different needs. I highly recommend the course and working under sis Hannah's supervision." - Juliana.

"My mood was quite low. I was focusing on my husband's shortcomings and held him responsible for all our problems. Alhamdulillah, only a few coaching sessions helped me realise that I had more power than I thought over my situation. I was chocked to see the communication in my marriage improve and how my husband started to confide in me. It has been a win win situation as I feel more fulfilled and happy while at the same time more present and available mentally and psychologically for my family." Fatima. One-to-one client

"I feel more self-aware and I have been able to make meaningful changes to my own behaviour that have had such a positive impact on my marriage and home. I feel I have the tools to manage conflict and an awareness to navigate the difficult days and fully appreciate the good ones." Sister N. Group Coaching Client
